NVIDIA GPU monitoring from your phone

Utilization, VRAM, temperature, and power for every NVIDIA card, live beside CPU and memory, with the processes holding each one.

On the status page, with everything else

The GPU card joins the status page by itself when there is a card to read: driver and CUDA version on top, then one tile per GPU.

  • Drag it higher if you check it most.
  • A machine without an NVIDIA card shows no GPU card.

Details

Which process took the VRAM

Each card lists its compute processes and the memory they hold. A training run that left 6 GB behind is easy to spot.

Every card in the machine

Each card gets its own tile, with its own readings and processes.

Nothing to install

If the NVIDIA driver is there, SwiftServer has what it needs.

Linux and Windows

Linux updates with every refresh, and Windows a little less often. GPU metrics are free.

How it works

  1. 01

    Add the machine

Host, port, user, and either a password, an SSH key, or a saved Identity. Then turn on Show Status in Dashboard.

  2. 02

    SwiftServer looks for a card

On the first reading it checks whether the machine has an NVIDIA driver. If it does not, nothing is asked again for that session.

  3. 03

    The numbers arrive

GPU readings come in alongside CPU, memory, disk, and network, refresh after refresh.

  4. 04

    The card appears

GPU Usage lands at the bottom of the status page, after Docker. Drag it higher if you read it more often than the rest.

Questions

Do I have to install anything on the GPU server?

No. If the NVIDIA driver is installed, SwiftServer has everything it needs. The readings are read-only and travel over the SSH connection you already use.

Which GPU metrics does SwiftServer show?

Utilization, memory used and free against total, fan speed, temperature, power draw against the default power limit, driver version, CUDA version, and the compute processes on each card with their PID and memory.

Does it work with more than one GPU?

Yes. Each card gets its own tile with its own gauges and its own process table, and every process is attributed to the card it is really running on.

Does GPU monitoring cost extra?

No. The GPU card is free. Premium removes the three-server monitoring limit.

Can I see GPU usage in a widget?

No. The Home Screen widgets carry CPU, memory, network, disk I/O, uptime, temperature, and latency. GPU metrics are on the status page in the app.

Does SwiftServer show Apple Silicon GPU usage?

No. GPU readings come from the NVIDIA driver, so a Mac server shows the CPU, memory, disk, and network cards but no GPU card.
