Themes & Fonts

518 terminal themes with independent light and dark choices, bundled and custom fonts, cursor and scrollbar options.

Terminal appearance lives in Settings → Terminal Theme. Appearance changes apply to new terminals. Customization is part of Premium.

Themes

SwiftServer bundles 518 color themes: the two first-party SwiftServer Light and SwiftServer Dark themes, plus 516 schemes from the iTerm2 color collection. Light and dark are chosen independently — pick one theme for light mode and another for dark, and the terminal follows the system appearance. The picker is searchable.

Fonts

Nine monospace families ship with the app: Menlo (default), Monaco, DejaVu Sans Mono, JetBrains Mono, Ubuntu Mono, Andale Mono, Source Code Pro, Courier New, and Courier — plus everything installed on the system.

  • iPhone & iPad: use Import Custom Fonts to add your own .ttf, .otf, .ttc, or .otc files; Manage Imported Fonts removes them.
  • Mac: install fonts in macOS as usual, then select them from the list (restart the app if a fresh install doesn't appear).

Text metrics are adjustable per terminal from the Text Size and Spacing popover: size, line height (1.00–2.00), and letter spacing.

Cursor & scrollbar

  • Active cursor: block, underline, or bar — with an optional blink.
  • Inactive cursor: outline, block, bar, underline, or hidden.
  • Scrollbar: automatic, visible, or hidden.

These can also be changed live from a running terminal's actions menu, and a Terminal Bell toggle controls the audible bell.
